On 6th February, the Ziran Education team attended the Chinese New Year celebration at Reading College, an event that brought together educators, students, and members of the local community to commemorate this important cultural occasion. The evening underscored the vital role that education plays in equipping students with the skills and opportunities necessary for their professional development.

The event was a testament to the dedication and talent of the students, particularly those in the Professional Culinary Arts programme, who delivered an exceptional dining experience. Lexie Harrison, a student from the programme, reflected on the learning process involved in the event:
“It’s been an eye-opening event to take part in because it’s a lot of preparation, but once it’s done, it makes the whole service go so much easier.”
At The ReCentre, we recognise the importance of practical experience and industry exposure in nurturing emerging talent. Just as Reading College provides its students with the necessary tools to excel in their chosen fields, The ReCentre is committed to supporting young artists by offering a dedicated space where they can refine their skills, present their work, and connect with professionals.
As Jon Adams, Chief Strategy Officer at Activate Learning, remarked:
“It was great to see some familiar faces and make new connections to explore what more we could do to support them and members of their community.”

This emphasis on collaboration and opportunity aligns closely with The Recentre’s mission. By fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, we aim to support the next generation of creatives—whether in visual arts, performance, or other artistic disciplines—by equipping them with the resources they need to progress in their careers.
We look forward to further engagement with educational institutions and creative organisations to advance our shared commitment to artistic and professional development.
